hi folks,

a simple question.. what happens with leftovers in your house ?
.
.
.
mrs. G and I have a very simple policy -- we carefully wrap up leftovers, place them in the fridge and then forget about them until they go green and furry!! d'oh!

would anyone like to come over for a pot luck dinner? Sick

I tend to use leftovers for the next days lunch. My daughter has gone to school today with a large piece of last nights chicken pie!

I do have to admit though if they get wrapped and put anywhere other than the front of the fridge they have a tendancy to be forgotton!!! Which reminds me there is half a red onion fermenting towards the back of the fridge......Silenced

We rarely have any left-overs as after many years of cooking we can judge enough food for the meal and no more. It would just be half a tin of something, or some gravy.

On a Monday, my mother would always make bubble and squeak. Left-over mashed potatoes and greens (usually overcooked sprouts - ugh.) done in a frying pan and served with cold brisket. How I hated that!
