UKTV Food: Local Hero 2008 in association with Enjoy England
Following two successful series in 2006 and 2007, Gary Rhodes’ Local Food Hero is back with a third series to celebrate those committed champions that go the extra mile in the name of high quality food. Once again Gary will be looking for passionate producers, spectacular specialist retailers, funky fast food and the most highly rated restaurants.
These awards ask food lovers to vote for, and reward, their food heroes’ passion for putting quality food on our plates.
An expert panel has now sifted through these 200 nationwide contestants and selected a shortlist of five in each region. The top 50 outlets will be featured in the series and each has a chance to win £40,000 to invest in making their business the best it can be.
