My idea of a perfect weekend takes place in Englands most exciting city... London. Starting off in my suite at the London Bridge Hilton and enjoy a workout and swim in the gymnasium facilities. Then its a walk along the Thames and over Tower Bridge into the City. A short trip to the West End for some fantastic shopping on Oxford Street at some of the major high street stores with lunch at any nunber of restaurants. In the evening, nothing better than seeing Les Miserables at The Queens theatre.

I love the fact there is always something going on. You can pick lively or quiet places, and ohh the shopping! There's history, museums galore, theaters, buildings, sites, the river, walking and even people watching, while enjoying your cup of well earned coffee. Time flies but what excitement, and you don't have to go hungry either with such a variety of foods everywhere. The weather isn't a problem either as there is always somewhere to go when it's wet. I just love it - spoilt for choice.

I stayed at a quality hotel in West London and enjoyed Sprus beating Manchester Utd at White Hart Lane. I spent some time browsing around the beautiful antique shops of Portobello Road and then saw a concert at Shepherd's Bush Empire. To round it off the following evening I saw a performance of Lord of the Rings at Duruy Lane. The capital has such a lot t offer and I really enjoyed myself. Coming back home was a comedown though!

A weekend away in the capital, staying at a YHA & catching a show ( booked well in advance!). Cheap and fun.
