My perfect English weekend would either be a lovely weekend in Stratford Upon Avon with my hubby. We would stay in a nice B&B, enjoy the sites and take in a show at the wonderful Theatre OR it would be spent walking or biking over Cannock Chase with the kids and a picnic basket & blanket. Either is perfect!
Arrived late friday night, booked into a hotel opposite shakespears cottage, had flowers and champagne in the room, early start went for a walk along the river, had an ice cream from the ice cream boat. Then early evening a nice romantic meal, maybe another walk, going back to the hotel..a perfect day in my weekend. the following day included browsing round the shops, another meal, travelled on the tour bus round the town, taking plenty of pictures.

I would like to travel first class on a Virgin train to Stratford, spend a relaxing day picnic-ing on a barge down the canal seeing the sights. The evening would be spent experiencing the various local drinking establishments. I would love to have a nice bike ride through the country on the Sunday afternoon followed by a hearty English meal in an authentic country pub!

My perfect weekend was spent at Stratford upon Avon, exploring antique shops, lounging by the river, going to the theatre. Staying in a beautiful hotel and being treated like a princess.
